Meet Samjhana , Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering graduate🎓

Namaste!! I am Samjhana Sharma, a Civil Engineer. I graduated from IOE, TU a few months back. My journey that began with the aspiration to become a doctor, healing the people around me, but it took a different turn, leading me to become a “doctor of structures,” an engineer upon which thousands of live around me depend. Life has it’s own plans, and I have learned to go with the flow. The path which I have never even imagined pursuing, was then driven by force of willingness to learn, and address the most real yet highly overlooked problem of my community.

Engaging in exhibitions, research, and projects fueled my passion for civil engineering. From addressing dual calamities in Nepal to contributing to earthquake resilience projects, I’m committed to continuous learning and growth. Life’s journey is about exploration and evolution. In the cacophony of voices, choose wisely which to heed. Life’s journey is unpredictable, but embrace its twists and turns. In STEM, girls face doubt and stereotypes, but belief in yourself is key. I’ve faced scrutiny for being in female-led teams, but mentorship has empowered me. Remember, it’s not just about what you achieve, but your resilience in pursuit of your goals. If the world doesn’t fit, create your own. 🌟Let us aspire to uplift others in any role we inhabit- as children in our families, students of our teachers, mentors to our juniors, colleagues to our friends, and member of our communities, where we can be proud of-not for our possessions or accolades, but the impact we have around us and the lives we touch along the way. Believe in the boundless potential that resides within, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
